The Indian Army has recovered five AK magazines and some cash that was dropped from a drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on 13 April 2023, reported The Hindu.
The Army said that suspicious aerial movement of a drone was observed on the LoC in Rajouri's Beri Pattan area on the night of 12-13 April.
“A cordon and search operation was launched and the movement of a drone was tracked. Five loaded AK magazines, some cash and a sealed packet was recovered from the drone,” the Army said in a statement.
A search operation is underway in the area, the Army added.
Pakistan has been repeatedly caught trying to smuggle arms and ammunition into Jammu and Kashmir through various means, including drones.
The Indian security forces have always been successful in thwarting such attempts and have been able to maintain peace and stability in the region.
The latest recovery only reinforces the fact that Pakistan continues to support terrorism and is determined to cause unrest in Jammu and Kashmir.
It also highlights the need for India to remain vigilant and prepared to tackle any such attempts by Pakistan, to create unrest in the region.
